I actually had an exhaust shop guy tell me exactly same thing... I went to a different shop.
re: resonator. frequent visitors to performance forum are not Ford's customer base. people want quiet car w/ automatic, no engine noise, road noise, intake or exhaust noise. interestingly though, MACH1 stang has two resonators of the same 2 chamber design as ours. they went through all the troubles to gain extra ponies then put the resonators back there. now that car is definitely not for a blue haired granny... go figure...
