OP dre1010 New CEG\'er D Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 35	Noises started coming from rear brake drum yesterday after I heard a couple clunking noises. I did check it out can't get the damn brake drum off, and their is smoke coming out also.

BrApple_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er B Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 6,910 Enfield, CT	either the pads are gone or the e-brake is stuck make sure you take pressure off the e-brake then release the self adjusting mechanism and then you can tap the drum with a hammer to loosen it up and it should then come off - 95 Mystique LS - Zetec/5spd - 99 Contour SeVT Sport - Duratec/5spd Official NE-CEG Contour/Mustang Family
