i understand that. i'm just calling out bs when i smell it. mm was just one pawn in the whole scheme of election propaganda, but some of the ceg conservative right would like to brand him as the leader of the democratic party. that's about as legit as me saying bush was just a puppet for the swift boat vets.

hate mm because of his liberal extremism and unflattering take on the bush admin, but demonizing a whole party and candidate on the strength of one loud mouth is lame.

notice i've thrown no jabs at 'our' president or his loyal following.

I don't think anyone is doing that. Everyone seems to be saying that Michael Moore has attached himself to the Democratic party and, due to their initial acceptance and fervor for his antics, they will be labeled in the future as extremists who will use blatant misdirection to confuse and control the voting base. Whether this is true or not is irrelevant. It's their image and they'll have to work to shake it.

Voting is for old people.

so, be it right or wrong, those with little minds will continue to attach propaganda from an individual to a whole party. couple sayings come to mind...

...pot to kettle
...baby and bath water

anyways, this thread started out as an mm bash party and a couple people have taken the initiative to turn it into a democratic bash party. my bad on interrupting the fun.

Keep in mind that the turned tables wouldn't have been any different if your candidate had won.

Please. Just by you putting quotes around our, you are implying that he was not legitimately elected. As for the case 4 years ago, Al Gore admitted he would have lost and recognizes that fact, why can't you. As for Nov 2nd, 2004... he got 51% of the popular vote and the required electoral votes. Don't even bother with the 'he wasn't really elected crap.'

Edit: Please note, this is not a jab at you directly, this is a blanket statement to people who say 'our' president, or anything to that effect. I've had enough of it in real life, and unfortunately my annoyance with those people have slipped into this post.

wtf are you talking about. my quotes were intended to show that whether you like it or not bush is the US president and not the 'conservatives' president. i don't need to imply a damn thing, i say what i feel. simple and plain. your candidate may have won but he has a responsibility to address/represent my concerns just as much and the die-hard right wing wackos feel like he represents theirs since he is OUR president.

your post just goes to show how some of you are still in an argumentative state and ready to assume ill intent to make something out of nothing. get over yourself...

Unnnggghhh... This again. We were letting the UN handle it as a matter of policy after the first golf war. The pres tried to let the post war policy of the previous administrations work, but we now know that the UN had been corrupted - which the administration had discovered prior to our current action without the UN. The pres allowed them the opportunity to come clean before invading.

The UN was the delay, the Russians were the delay, the French were the delay. 12 freakin' years of hollow threats & nearly fruitless inspection efforts. The longer it went on, the more money to line the pockets of the above parties. That's why it was delayed, that's why we didn't go in earlier.

Seriously, save your money then buy a clue.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

In a nutshell, yes, although off the top of my head I can't remember specifics. I do know that there were insurgents using top-line antitank weapons against M-1s after Baghdad fell, which was a BIG attention-getter at the Pentagon, I'm sure.

Check out my friends site, he's got a good photo set of some MIGs, with explainations of when they were built.

And for a good laugh, and jab at MM, check out the homepage and read his latest updates: http://www.ehowa.com
