It will be louder and raspy if you don't have a resonator. I know. The wife complains, lots of drone in the back seat from exhaust and wife. wink But gains are considerable.

Tru dat! Man is it ever raspy! Obnoxiously loud without a rez... Gotta get me one of those now!

Ah! So basically with that non-welding method, I can still do it while the manifold is on the car. NICE TO KNOW!! My car will be mad loud soon! wink Now how do you build the MIL? That webpage I bookmarked and was on the link in that How-To page doesn't work anymore...

People, don't do it while they're on the car! Go ahead and tell me how many times you've gotten away with it doing it to other people's cars, use vacuums to suck it out the outlet, but until you see how much dust can still enter the combustion chamber through an open valve you won't understand. I don't care if you do them by yourself or buy them from me as some people have accused me of, but DON'T BE LAZY! I'm done now, thank you... wink

Jiako, yes, both front and rear exhaust manifolds.

Oh well... Brad, doesn't dust and crap just get blown out of the combustion chamber on the first exhaust cycle?? I'm no pro here but I.. hrrm.. someone did do them on ... their car .. and didn't notice any "ill" effects. Time bomb?

Sandy grit in the combustion chamber likes to stick to things. Not really a time bomb, but does give increased wear on rings, valve seats, and valve guides. IF you didn't get any in there, you'll be totally fine. That "IF" is the really big contest to do it on the car or off. To me, it's not worth the chance and I'm trying to make it not worth your chances. Did I scare anyone out of it yet?

Boogy boogy! :p
