I say the BMW, but my current ride is a '99 328i so take it for what you will. With the BMW in particular, make sure that you buy exactly what you want, in particular the sport package is IMHO a must-have for the seats alone. I don't have it and regret it just about every day. As far as reliability, mine has 108k miles and is strong and solid, but you will have to replace suspension bushings and control arms on any current BMW every 50k miles or less. Something to consider.

So what's your price range, $30-$35K?

The Acura is the best value of that list.
Very surprised to see how much the CL depreciates.

Hold out for EXACTLY what you want. Don't settle. Drive EVERYTHING, even cars you think you may not want to consider.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

'05's get 298HP in the 6MT (sedan and coupe), and 280 in the AT.

The only serious contenders here are the G and the Beemer. (All others... ) Ask yourself why you want the BMW. Is it image? Name? Reputation? Then you won't be happy with anything else. Performance? Utility? Get the G, but go for the Sedan. If you just gotta have a BMW, but it's too much money, I would seriously consider an E36 version. Even an M3. Likely that you'd have to replace some bushings and give the car a freshening, but the price of admission is lower, and these cars tend to be reliable if well cared for.
Function before fashion.

The CL is a boat compared to the others and since they no longer make it, it will hurt values even further. I get a thrill everytime I unwind my dads 350z. BMW's are nice if you have deep pockets. In my experiences servicing costs are pretty high and they aren't the most reliable... of course thats just my experience.
