I think Interior room, FWD or RWD, and MT vs. AT are things you need to sort out.

The 3-series has a small trunk and small back-seat while the G35 is much closer in size to a mid-size car.

Honestly, if you can live with the small interior of the 3-series I would go with that.

If not, the G35 is my pick.

I'm done with FWD performance cars.

Special lease deals on G35's right now, 2800 down, 359/month for 42 months I believe. I'd be all over the G35 coupe if I were you. I love my Alty SE-R but the G35's are SWEET and RWD.

To each his own. It seems you like the Bimmers. Like someone else said, go out and drive ALL of them, it's the only way to figure out which one you like the most when it comes to living with each car in the real world.

Porsche 968 and save the balance for a seriously comprehensive rebuild/upgrade.

If you get a CPO BMW they have a pretty solid warranty, which is a plus, they are still on the pricey end of repairs and maintaince. What are some of the prices you have been looking at? I don't know your price range either and being that you are dealing with CAD it might sway some things.

I think I have narrowed it down to the G35 coupe, I really like the look of this car or the BMW330CI. They are both around the same price except the G would be 2 years newer and I'm not worried about reliability here. BMW on the other hand always wanted one and the ride is so solid, not as fast as the G but not far from.

Still can't make up my mind on this one.

The interior of the G35 I don't think is that great, and I don't know how well they hold their value, they never used to be good.

Yeah. Way back in the '03 model year...

Holding value is only good if you're leasing. Otherwise, who cares? Nobody buys a daily driver to make money.

OK, so you're between a Japanese Coupe and a German Sedan. I don't get the hairsplitting, but alright.

Consider that the G is a Nissan family product. So, quite a bit of swapping is possible from other platforms that carry the same drivetrain (350Z). If you're looking at "upgrades," this might be important. By the same token, BMW support is ubiquitous, as well, and even some M-class parts will fit. Blah, blah, blah.

First you've got to figure out how many doors you want, and what you're buying for. Break it down to individual factors and then decide how important each factor is to you.

I was confused by his choices as well but he looks to be shopping the 330IC & G35C.

At this point it's an easy choice. GTO. 5.7L of fury, MTX 6spd, a great interior and 350HP off the showroom floor. All for $26K or less US on the '04 models. And if money is no concern, well then just wait about 3-months and for $34K you can drive in a 6.0L 400HP GTO.

Really is it that hard of a decision?
