I've been getting more serious about getting a newer ride.

Here's what I have narrowed it down to:

2001-2002 BMW 330CI, but so much money.

2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe, not so sold on the interior.

2004 Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor with sport package love the exterior, but not to crazy about the seating position, only 189hp but supercharger, also pricy.

2003 Acura 3.2CL Type S, great value, love the interior, but the outside is a little boring, but what a bang for the buck.

I've wanted a BMW for so long, now that I can afford a used one, I'm scared about german reliability, long term as I would like to keep this car for some time.

What do you all think?

I'd go for the g35 Coupe from those 3 but that's based soley on looks and specs not real-world.
But have you considered the CTS or 9-3?

Some areas of the US you cand get a new IS300 for the price of those used.

From that list, auto = Acura TL-S. Manual = G35C

If you've "wanted one for so long" then you might be dissatisfied with anything but, especailly if you're desitined to keep this new purchase for a long time.

Clearly you know what I'd recommend

You are right to consider its reliability, however, keeping it potentially for so long. This is the point where you have to consider what to side with - your brain or your heart.
