That certain blacks equate intelligence, or the perception of intelligence, as 'whiteness' is one of the most serious downfalls of the mainstream black movement. I guess 'blackness' consists of showing your bling-bling, Cadillacs, big wheels, etc., all while complaining about the suppression and oppression of black people everywhere.

When you see a black person speaking intelligently on TV, I suggest you think 'Wow, he's intelligent', instead of 'Why is he pretending to be white?'. What you said above is extremely stereotypical, thinking exclusively in black and white. You're the one that needs to re-evaluate your actions, not the intelligent black people on TV.



Why does there have to be an extra attempt to maintain respect in the black community while being 'corporate'? Again, the elimination of stereotypes that the black community holds within itself would be a good first step towards 'equality'. If I had to come home from my job and worry about losing the respect of my people, that's an issue I would take up with my people, not myself or the corporate world.
