has been cancelled. the issues with the casting process and the resulting quality concerns have brought this project to its conclusion. i would like to commend Terry and HMS for his lengthy labor and engineering on this effort and i hope to do business with him again in the near future. a lot of you as well as i, have waited a long time to finally get a look at this car and what it would be able to do so it is somewhat disappointing.
to bring others up to speed...
some months ago the prospect of using an entire lincoln LS 3.0 engine assembly was discussed and decided to go on with by myself and HMS. i had just run into problems with my original 95 engine so a swap and trans upgrade was the ticket. i cant say enough good things about my 95 se.
after some serious engineering terry concluded that he could use the front to back mounted LS OBD2 engine and convert it to a transversley mounted engine in the contour. i knew that it was going to take some doing and i wanted to take the chance that it would come out in the end. it would have if not for the poor casting process ford adopted for the 3.0 engine blocks that has recently come to light.
car pictured here with the original micah se/svt mounted at SZ02 as many of you remember was a great time. i have since had an se/svt/mirko made similar to beyondloaded's car and was ready to be mounted on the car when i got it back. i too have a baer big brake kit that was ticketed for the 95. in the works for some time was another 95 bumper mated to a BMW m3 front for a change of pace that may have looked close to this...

it has been a long bumpy road and the conclusion is not the one i had ever suspected but i have learned a lot from all of this. i would again like to thank Terry and HMS for their hard work. they are a top notch opperation which many of us have experienced first hand and i wish them continued success in the future. it is time to focus on my svt and take that in a new direction.
