Eh? By allowing minority groups to pursue their rights?
You should know that everyone has First Amendment rights. Not just those in control of Congress or Presidency.

That must be why Michael Moore brought in almost a quarter billion dollars worldwide for a movie that calls President Bush "Evil"

You have ONE man calling ONE man evil and that's game?
It might have been a 3-point shot but you were down by 10.

You are also trying to equate book audiences to movie audiences. Not comparable in any form. Book readers likely already have opinions formed and they pic up books for good reads. Movies reach the masses who don't mind wasting $8 and 2 hours.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I'm sure Al Franken would be disappointed by you undercutting his popularity.

Now, count the millions of people that agree with that one man after seeing his movie. What's the score now? Oh, that's right, we still lost.
Reasons I voted for Kerry:
I lost my job twice under Bush, both because of corporate cutbacks stemming from 9/11. The movie confirmed enough of my suspected evils to change my mind.
We went to war without direct support of our allies, against a coutry which happens to control most of the active drilling oil deposits in the world. Who's oil gets more expensive when theirs is gone? Ours does... who gets rich?
Local factory jobs were shipped overseas during Bush's first four years due to tax loopholes. A Firestone foreman is now my local produce manager!!! What's next? A Maytag worker at the drive through cleaners? Yup...
I don't vote one party vs. the other because it's that kind of closed minded-ness that kills everything I love about living in this country. Canada would be pretty good with the free health care and all, but do you think they'll take over Florida any time soon to be able to get some liveable Canadian weather?

So, 9/11 was Bush's fault, gotcha. Without direct support of the UN? Give me a break! The UN is a worthless organization without a backbone! How many resolutions have to be passed before action was taken? If we did it for oil, how come I'm still paying 2.23 a gallon for Preimum? Originally posted by bnoon:

Its called progress. Do you feel that in the future every American should be a) working a factory line job, or b) working in a managerial scope, making sure his foreign employees do their jobs?
This happens every time there is a major leap forward. Farming jobs lost, people moved to manufacturing, manufacturing jobs lost, people moved to technology. Next step, all American's will be managers maintaining their foreign employees. I would much rather see every American at a cushy desk job making a fat check then having to bust their asses in front of a CNC all day.
