I bought the non-resonated one. and I've been driving all day today and the smell is hardly noticable anymore.
Its a great system and sounds awsome. I will be taking my car to Pure Tuning here in toledo ohio to get a dyno test. It won't be for a couple of weeks though. I will record a sound clip then if no one beats me to it.

I'm considering the same system. The Trubenz Borla catback with resonators and the y-pipe with high flow cat. I was wondering how they sounded and if anyone had any CEL problems with the new cat?

There are no sensors after the main cat, so you will not get a cell. You can even run a straight pipe & not get a cel. The only worry you will have is sniffer tests when you renew your registration, and since it is an approved CAT you should have no problems if it is properly warmed up.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Go back and check it over real quick. If it's a leak you'll feel it. When I smelled exhaust I threw it up on a ramp and revved in neutral. It turned out it was just a bit loose at the borla muffler before the y pipe. No bigs. I'd be interested in sound clips, too. We could compare

I just have a hard time believing that your exhaust doesn't sound raspy without the resonator. I've heard a CSVT w/o the resonator before, and it was comparable to what a mosquito would sound like if it were the size of an elephant. I am considering a Trubendz resonated system as well, and am curious if your opinion of "raspy" is different than mine.

well if you have heard an svt without the res when its cold then we both know what the rasp sound is. I will deffinatly try to get a sound clip sooner because there is absolutly no rasp at all with the trubendz non-res system wether cold or not.

Owned...
SVT exhaust with mag center resonator...slight rasp when cold.
Truebendz with mag...no rasp...deep and rumbly. BUT...I was doing 500 miles a week on the highway and it was too dronie for that.
