I didn't say the mods (I hate that word) didn't help, I said they weren't as mod friendly as some. Much like the SVTC. Yet, the K series motors...a CAI nets you 20 hp, literally. Try that with a B or D series.
Yes we all know Hondas are rev happy engines, they must be to compensate for their lack of torque. Hondas are PACKED with potential, just not for strictly bolt ons.
