When they are dry our machine takes like 10 seconds for a bag if the leaves are whole. If they go through a mower and get chopped up it takes about 15 seconds a bag. In fact, if the leaves are dry it will suck them up and chop them as fast as you can rake them in.
Whip out your yellow pages and start calling around. Hurry though, most landscapers put their fall clean-up stuff away after thanksgiving. The ones who don't jack up their prices just becasue they can.
We do, after next week we stop taking service calls for fall clean-ups so we're done by thanksgiving. After thanksgiving we keep our leaf truck together until after the first week of december. After thanksgiving though we raise our pick-up rate to $2.75 per min. just because we're one of the last landscapers to dismantle our leaf truck so we're pretty much the only ones around who still do it. Most others who use the truck for leaf pick-up also use it for plowing snow and the leaf machine and the box need to be taken off before they can plow. Our leaf truck is not used for snow removal.
