I played many a 16-player CTF game of Halo in my day but I will have to agree, why everyone wanted to play Halo over any of the countless other options out there, I don't know. It's far from a bad game, but it's not an exceptionally great game either. Although if you just compare it to console titles it probably is right up at the top of the list for FPS games.

I've played in single player once and it was OK, yeah not the best ever. It's the great multiplayer games that you can get going that make it so popular.
