I want to change the serp belt, do I take that big metal bracket off near the timing belt cover? I guess I can see the belt tensioner after that?

The oil change was easy once the wheel and plastic cover was removed. I noticed all the cracks in the belt with the cover off too.

You dont remove that. You go from the bottom up.

There is also a "special" tool you can get to help releive the tensioner so you get get the belt off. I got it from Autozone when I did mine.

You know I've got a breaker bar (long socket wrench without ratchet). I got it once to remove the wheel hub nut. I don't know why, but I thought I had to remove this nut to get the Rotors off.

Does anyone have pictures? Step-By-Step How To's?

Just a 13 MM Craftsman wrench, some muscle, and some knowledge on how to install a belt, worked for me

Just replaced mine with a Goodyear Gatorback

Yep. Remove the right front wheel, remove the lower fender liner (or whatever that lower plastic guard thing is called), and a good box end wrench will do the trick. It takes a fair amount of leverage, but nothing excessive. I use a standard wrench, probably 10 inches long.

When you do it, use a goodyear belt... They make your car sound like its gotta supercharger when you hit the higher RPM's.

Thanks man.. it looks easy when I've got pictures. And to think I've had to pay someone to do that on my car.

Is there anyway to make the tenisioner tighter?
I swear everytime someone takes off my belt the car drives
better until it loosens back up.

I've got on a good Gates Belt.
