There is a wide and long opening along the instrument cluster cover , junks alway falling into it , I'm worrying I could short something down there

Personally that's one of the places I would expect junk to not be anywhere near to even have the potential of falling into the area. The only way it falls down that I can see is if you had it originally on the dashboard (unsafe) or in front of the instrument panel (just as unsafe).

Keep junk outta your car (especially the instrument cluster, you know there is a center console, as well as many other places to put stuff) and it won't be a problem.

Yet right, you may want take out your air bags and just try to aviod accidents.
Come on guys,stay on the subject STUDIP not treasure but I think inside the cat is the safest place.
