Bwahahahahaha!!!! You're are truly disconnected; but that's ok, it's to be expected of someone so far up GWB's butt.
The story of the Red Sox transcends baseball because it's a story of the long-time losers FINALLY winning. There are teams like the Sox in every sport. Teams with a history of coming oh-so-close. The Sox, with their habit of blowing it, were the posterchild for capable teams that couldn't win the big ones. That they finally did makes their win such a big deal.
How does politics have anything to do with a discussion of sports.
So a sucky team finally won. It's not as big of a deal as some people are making it out to be. Sure it's sorta interesting, but definitely not the biggest story in 25 years. Maybe biggest in baseball since all the homerun stuff (homerun stuff was definitely bigger), but definitely not biggest of all sports, even in just the past year.
