im not

does that mean i have to root for the Cards now

I"m just arguing it being the biggest night in sports. The 1980 US Hockey team was much bigger.

READ THE ORIGINAL POST HE SAID IT WAS THE BIGGEST SINCE 86. THIS IS BIGGER THAN THE MIRACLE ON ICE SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE BASEBALL FANS IN BOSTON THAN THERE ARE HOCKEY FANS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY!!!

Hello, brain, yea, this is common sense. Can I come in? You see Miracle on Ice was about more than Hockey. It was about galvanizing a nation during a period of extreme competition with the Eastern Block, specifically the Soviet Union. The implications of that victory were far more reaching and diverse than the Sox win.

BTW, I'm a Sox fan. I visit Beantown every summer and most of my relatives still live in Malden, Beverly or Nahant.
