Rara, I'd like another gear just for highway mpg. That's just the economical side of me...

Install the taller Zetec final drive gear.
A much better idea!
Add a quaife, clutch, and flywheel while you are in there too...

interesting, Demon. when things need replacing down there, I might consider. Could I still hit 140? or would it be too wussy geared?

Umm, how do you know its peaky if you've never seen the dyno curves? fyi, I have seen them.
