To be honest it can be many things...
1. Engine or Motor Mounts
2. Serpentine belt
3. Belt Tensioner
4. Serpentine pully
Common for the Contour 4 cyl. The Radiator was designed to "float" in its
mounts. Some of the vehicles got out of the factory with radiators that were
too tight in its mounts. The normal engine vibrations were transferred
through the cooling system to the radiator core support. Ford provided new
radiator mounts and bushings in a TSB fix. Before the parts came out, I
would bend the lower mounts down to looses up the fit of the radiator.
