Beaters dont have to be expensive. The Dodge would have been perfectly driveable with a $600 outlay (including the truck ) but I was the one who had to change it and stuff an injection setup and electronic trans into it.

Hmmm...Edmunds says it's worth $8500 (I ranked it as "clean"). I've put a lot of highway miles on it, and Edmunds says that's 1G that I don't get! My butt loved the seating for every one of those miles, though. Too bad mods don't really count for anything to the lay person. Not surprisingly, dealers would give me $6800 and turn around and sell it for $9800 What bastards. Anyway, I'm thinkin' it through, pricing other cars, thinking about my options. Anyone serious about wanting it? Maybe Taylor will sell his and buy mine...

I'd only do this if wanted to get butt-pounded by a stranger without KY.
Take the headers off? Let me see, where did I put my lift, 24" extensions, and my air tools? (I had installation help from JC Aimhigher, 69Boss302, SQPlus and slew of others out at Peterson AFB. $24 to rent the tools and the lift, 6.5hrs later, and I'm pretty sure I bought some people dinner, too.)

I would be,.. except my dad just ordered me a proper exhaust system (I finally get to ditch that crappy stock piping + restrictive Flowmaster). Aluminized Trubendz 2.5 Catback with Maganaflow is on the way so unfortunetly, after dropping $300 + on that, I doubt my dad will be up to buying a whole new vehicle.
'98 Contour SE 2.5 w/ Granny Tranny + stuff = still slow

Good call on the catback, Stuart. Just tell your dad you'll let him have your SE if he buys you a SVT.
