I've been thinking...

I wondering if a sporty car is what I need right now. If it weren't my only car, I'd be more ok with it. I'll miss the power and the handling, but I drive like a puss anyway. Maybe once I'm makin' the PA bigbucks I'll buy something fun.

I kinda just want something to putt around in. I'd also like something that's a little better in the snow. Granted, the SVT would be a lot better in the snow if it didn't have summer tires on it...

Since I'm in the midst of test season, (at least one a week from now until Dec. ) I may not be doing much about it right now. We'll see. I might sell it then look for a car over winter break. I'd register it here in UT - instate tuition would save me 8K a year, and I'd need to reg. the car here if I wanted to get instate.

Just thinking aloud (and postponing studying... )

Winter tires are cheaper than paying for another car
If you REALLY want to get rid of it, I will give it a good home

I'm thinkin' AWD and under 9K. Found quite a few Outbacks and Legacy GTs that fit that description. 98-00 range w/ decent milage, too.

It'd be nice to put some $ into the pocket if I sold my car, but we'll see. ( <----Wishful thinking)

Maybe I'll buy a rust-bucket pickup to beat around in for these next few years. I wouldn't feel bad if I didn't wax it...ever.

If I sold my car to a CEGer, I'd include the extra honed UIM and all the stock parts (that I sill possess).

I think Scot would have been the person to talk to about missing the Duratec, but apparently Kore has her arms wrapped tightly around him.

Being serious though, we havent had a 'bad' winter here in a long time. Last winter I was commuting on all-seasons and did just fine. Plan on doing the same thing this winter too but I now only have a five mile commute.

If your wanting something not as powerful, I will gladly trade you cars (but not payments, $79/mo is nice).

ACk! Cursed beginner's credit over here. 250/month loan payments, 100/month insurance. But at least I'm buildin up that credit report for my future next car/loan/house/apt. Perhaps a CTS-V? GTO? loan for T3/T4 turbo kit on the tour, recover the interior, paint it a nice bold red with chrome/satin aluminum accents?

BTW Derik. Don't sell the damn car. Horrid resale, you might as well just not drive it for a season or two, then once you have the time/money, get back into it and rediscover the joy of our little grocery getters.

your car is nice as hell, its paid for, and you will lose tons of $$$ in all those nice mods you have on there. why not just get some all seasons or snow tires and call it a day? i dont think its worth the trouble [to sell it]. and as soon as you are driving around in a beater, you will be kicking your own a$$ daily for selling your svt (you know its true ). just switch the registration and start saving your extra cash for a balla car when you are done with school.

oh, and i drive mine in the snow, i really dont think the 'tour does that bad (even with just all seasons). last year was my first time in the white stuff too! never any problems.

just my .02.

Dave
A guy I have heard of in Denver is selling this, this would be in my driveway if it was not for the pimp action planned for the SVT this spring ! I feel you pain Derk, thats why I bought the wife the AWD and I have my truck. 1200 lbs. of sand in the truck and it can go anywhere !!!! Resale blows, so I would keep your car, and its paid off, thats awesome, low miles too. Just buy a beater for the winter. I found a 90 Accord for $700.00 Runs great, you could curb the hell out of it ! lol Dont sell your car ! Thats my .02 well closer to $1.02 -B.
