If i get the time today, i was thinking about powering up my A-Pillar. I have installed my A-Pillar about 2 weeks ago...just havent hoooked up the gauges in it . I know many places i could get a ground and 12v power...but anyone have any suggestion on a best spot to hook them to? Im think about just hooking the lights of each gauge so that when the car comes on....they come on...instead of making a switch for them. ...just an idea Thanks in advance.

thats what i did, it works pretty good. i hooked them to a power source that gets power automatically when the vehicle turns on. its easier to me that way. good luck on it man.

i just got my gauge pod from lo-tek @ www.gaugepod or www.gaugepods.com. its the same company. yes they are a little off color from the midnight blue in my svt but its pretty close from out side of the car looking in i can't even tell a difference.

i got autometer gauges, a lot of ppl at least from the post that i have read had trouble with the oil pressure gauge sender unit into the head . with the auto meter sender and the 1/8 fitting adapter that canme with with the gauge in the box install was no sweat. just a little teflon tape . for the treads.

getting the plug out of the head was about the trickyest part. i used a 1/4 standard style allen hex socket bit that seemed to fit just perfect.

tapped the white wire with the red stripe, lol " red- stipe" in the front bank o2 sensor after the green conector right next to the windshield wiper refill tank.

hooked the back light bulbs to the head light switch, using a test light to tap the right wire. and the 12 volt + and the ground are hooked up to the head unit/cd player.

i would post pics but if you've seen one triple gauge pillar in an svt you've seen them all. i got silver gauges which match the color of my car more than they do my stock white gaues but nevertheless their kool.
