Today, odometer reads 204 miles, Gas tank = almost less than 1/4 left of fuel.
I checked compression, getting around 135 range.
Changed spark plugs recently, changed Ignition coil due to a scope showing some weird things with mine
Checked o2 sensor at school, the comptuer correctly reads it
PCV Valve has been changed
Oil correctly changed, Transaxle fluids changed
EGR Valve NOT Opening, but I am told that shouldn't make my gas milage suck this terribly!
Do not excessivly idle, Air filter is clean, air box is tightly installed. New MAF.
Fuel injectors cleaned
It idles alittle rough when she has warmed up around 10-15 minutes of usage, vibrates terribly at stop lights when warmed up.
Im thinking my timing belt is slightly off... This is pissing me off though....
I unplugged my A/C Clutch for winter, so I can use Defrost without my A/C stealing power from me.
I have used VERY gentle driving habits, I havnt red-lined the engine once on this fillup.
Anyone have any suggestions?
usually i get 350 miles on a full tank of gas if im lucky it goes to 375 when i hit 1/4 tank

Maybe it's not anything you're doing/not doing... This may sound sort of stupid, but it IS getting colder outside...my mileage sure takes a crap during the colder months....during the summer I can easily get 360-370 miles to a tank, now I'm filling up on around 340-350 right now. Just a thought.

How will it run right if the valve timing is off?

Gas milage has sucked thoughout summer, but getting very intolerable now...
I reset my PCM, car appears to run worse now, feels like she wants to stall more, and have to apply gas each time i shift from R to D, when cold I normally didnt have to, but when today taking it to the store, got it in R, died, Started back up, got it in R, got to street. shift to N, engine died, started back up, D and went off with no problems...
Bout ready to take it in...

my brother was having a MAD problem with stalling on his Jetta, he found out that his Throttle position sensor was on its last leg. Since VW intergraded that part into the Throttle body, he had to replace the throttle body. 70$ in used parts later, back on the road again. Have you checked your TPS lately?

Ok, so I was reading in Haynes how to change the timing belt, it mentioned something about installing a tension spring to the tensioner, I never did this, could not installing this spring [censored] with my timing? when i did my timing i used Mitchell, not haynes, where do i get this from? autozone said they didnt have it... perhaps that could be why my valve timing MIGHT be off a bit...

It's not running right. That's possibly why he is getting bad gas mileage. I said not true to there being no slightly off, but there is slightly off.

The tension spring and post are ford dealer parts. It was cheaper (even though they're small cheap parts) to order from ford parts online than my local dealers. And they'll help you figure out the right parts. I used to have the part numbers but they got deleted off my computer.
