Damn man. Theres nothing worse that someone invading your privacy.
I've replaced my whole drivers door, including swapping the locking system from one door to another. I can't believe that popping the lock like that would allow the door to open, especially when the lock is mechanical. I'm not sure. Those guys must be damn good at what they do unfortunately. What has insurance said? good luck bud...
