what most people don't see is on the back of the ticket, (the top half that goes to the prosecuter) police officers write down notes about your speed, about your car, about your attitude, and etc. So unless you are calm the whole time and your car doesn't look like it came from the fast and the furious, you should be fine... go with the lawyer.
