Thanks for all the suggestions...I'm going with the lawyer plus I'm going to video tape the road from start to end. I think it will show that the accused MPH is just not possible with being nearly out of control. As I said I spotted the police car just as I came out of a reduced speed (25 mph) "S" turn and imediatly hit my brakes...just no way I was going 69 mph

I did have a ticket last March that I got reduced to 1 point when I went to court so my record was not clean. Yes...I'm over 30 (said haven't been on that raod for 20 years) I'm 43 to be exact. My driving record has been ok...I go 6-8 years without a ticket and then I get 1 or 2 in a few years. All tickets in the last 20 years have been 10-15 mph over the limit usually late at night on the open highway. This one was on a back road around 11:30 a.m.
I'm pretty sure this cop thought he had a young kid (I had a ball cap and some sunglasses on) in a hot car to nail until he took my licence back to his car. By that point he had already made an a$$ out of himself so he had to stick with his claim. I just pisses me off that now I have to spend a bunch of money to try and clear myself. I have found in the past that a lawyer helps quite a bit. A lawyer oncew told me that judges used to be lawyer and they know a lot of lawyers don't get paid if the doon't get you off or get your charges reduced. It just suck's!
