A lot of these laws and policies vary by state for instance in NY even if a cop doesn't show up you can still get prosecuted, and still stand a decent chance of loosing. We don't have traffic school or anything like that either. My best advice would be to get a lawyer. I have had a lawyer and have fought tickets myself and the lawyer is a major help especially if the ticket is $275. Plus they would know more abotu teh specific traffic laws in your state than you.
