Was driving around yesterday with the heat on and I started to smell burning rubber through the vents. After I parked I popped the hood and noticed that the upper coolant hose was melting to the engine. It had unclipped from its original place. Its almost all the way through the hose. I reclipped it, but I'm not too sure it's going to stay. What do I do to keep it from melting further? How awful will it be to replace?
Help. I don't want my 'tour to start shooting coolant out all over the place!

Not sure of the difficulty, but it must be done, and soon. Is the place it clipped damaged (did the "clip" break?)

The hose is now weakened and may pop at any time. Any parts store will have the hose (may need to be ordered) and Meineke or someplace will do it for you, probably $60 or so if you don't wish to DIY.

Good luck

The clip isn't "broken", but its kind of loose. Going to go get a new hose today and at the same time see if it moves again. Thanks for your help!
