I looked for an hour for something related so forgive me if i'm blind and missed it. I'm wondering if anyone has ever built or had a custom box/false wall built into there trunk. My box is to big for my Alpine s type 12" sub. On top of that it rainded like a mother the last fours days and the carpet piece and the carboard piece are soaked. My box is wet underneath that too. Luckly my amps and gear are mounted on a piece of wood to the support beam on the back seat. I had my rear door spekers moved to the rear deck and they cut a port in my rear deck because I was going to have the box/wall done later. Has anyone else done this and or had water problems in the trunk either?

Yes i have had water probs in the trunk and im pretty sure i know the cause, the rubber strips/seals on the top of the car. On the rear passenger side the adhesive has seemed to ruptured. I was wonder has anyone else had these prob and what does it take to fix it, new seals or what? What are those seals for anyway, a roof rack or something? I have been too concerned with it since it doesnt rain much here but its just my luck its raining now. Its been that kinda month for me...

Yours just sounds like trunk lid molding.

the water within my trunk is due to ponding near the right side seal, which is where the water forms and the drips instead of flowing down the path towards the rear lights down past the bumper.

I had the same issue and I used the liquid silicone from O'Riley's and it fixed the problem. We have had some down pours here today and still no leaks.

Thanks for the input on the water problem. Anyone have pics of custom sub enclosures they had done or done themeselves in thier trunk? I'm having mine done in about two weeks and then I'm having a false wall built in front of it so hopefully no one will be able to tell it's there. I'll post pic's when it's done.

I had a water problem in my trunk and it would get soaked inside there. What I did is I got in the trunk with a flashlight and my wife srayed the water hose on the back of the car and my problem was found. It aws coming out of the vent behind the carpet on the wall. The foam or rubber seal had moved some how and it was allowing water to just pour right in. A little silicone fixed my problem
