I don't know what's wrong with you. I think any reasonable person would agree that you have been biased. I don't remember you being this way. I'm confused as to why you are being so ignorant.

[RANT]

I really dislike cops................... More than anything its the cop attitude that bugs the living crap outta me.

Next: Parade detail, you get paid double OT for parade detail? Give me my tax dollars back.

Next: Bullzsheit ass tickets. You know everyone writes these damn things. Why? I have my theories, either to pick up on hot chicks or quotas.

Next: Fat bastard cops. All huffin and puffin, thats why innocent people get shot. The fat cop can't run no more so he just shoots Julio Comacho Sanchez rather than run after him.

Next: Racist cops, just like normal people, but these cops execute there power to harass.

Next: Cops who abuse there power while driving. I have never in my life seen a cop use there blinker.

Next: The chase scene cop, do these Officers think they are Steve McQueen in there Crown Vics? Them chasing a car thief, hustler, drug dealer, or some other petty thief gets others killed. The big eye in the sky can track em down.

I honestly think sumin is wrong with people who want to be a cop. Either they were the bullies in HS and want to continue that BS or they were the wimps who want to get even or try and get a date!

20 - 30 yrs ago, cops were citizens helpers. Now they are overpaid, overweight, giant ego'd donut eaters.

Yes, all generalizations but I bet I summed up 60% of the police force in this country.

The other 40% I congratualte on a fine effort and appreciate your service. You have really been there for me and others at time. You were there for the GF & daughter in that horrendous car wreck and helped out at 3am with those bastards who drove a screwdriver through my SVT's door trying to get my $60 6yr old Sony CD player out.

Have a nice day Mr. Officer

back to topic.

at least you wanted to help an old man...

I slowed down not to run over a duck on MSU campus. (for our many Spartans: on Bogue str. right after the bridhe towards Grand River). got rearended by a girl in her beretta. total cost was around 2K, all told. I didn't pay a dime at that time, but ended up repainting the trunklid next year. also, for some reason or other, for almost 4 years since the accident, I have pretty frequent neck pain issues

About your rates going up from you having a UMPD claim... since this crash was not your fault, it should not be used to assess a rate increase against you. If your rates go up, it will likely be a rate increase that was gonna happen anyway.

Orland Park, huh? So what's better: Steak and Shake or White Castle? Does Carlton Fisk still show up to eat at Traverso's?

I agree. Although I am not sure I expected much more as he appears to reside in California.

I am often not the biggest fan of local law enforcement but I tend to give them some slack.

Where I live, they would show up for a non injury accident if you called (has happened to me). In the city of Detroit though I doubt it as they are overburdened and likely have other high priority calls on hold.

Cops are just regular people like anyone else so things you would experience from regular people your going to see in cops. Cops also deal with the trash of society every single day so that has got to suck as well.

In general, I think the police are OK in my book and I am happy to know if I have to call 911 they are going to be enroute to me when I need the help.

p.s. anm8 I hope it all works out for you. It IS just a car so I wouldn't worry so much about that.

Actually all my opinions come from watching re-runs of the OJ trial
