My question I guess is more to Chris Hightower than anyone else, but anyone can add their input. How does the apexi comp fit into the turbo scheme? Are we going to see increased performance? If so, then what percent increase over the turbo's additional power? Just wondering how this device is going to affect the turbo application.
Uh I need a car?

It'll let you adjust fuel trim perfectly to the turbo. So you can lean it out or riichen it up where needed. Basically OEM turbo-boys use them now for fine tuning their cars. So it would be no different for tuning an aftermarlet turbo. There has to be a zillion Civic Si guys with turbo kits that use the V-AFC (S-AFC and VTEC controller in one!) to tune there modified cars.

There are better piggy back systems out there, but not for the money. Any of them allow fuel trim at different RPMs, the more expensive ones have more tables to adjust and more RPMs to adjust at. The S-AFC uses 8 points across the band and those points melt together in between those 8 RPM points to fill in the gaps. Search on "AFM-Link" too. 3 times the money, but much more adjustment possible. Bobdafoo: Uh I need a car? How 'bout a loan?

To put it plainly, the S-AFC is a piggyback unit that we will be considering for the turbo kit. It would make sure the extra air going into the engine has enough fuel to go with it. It would be included with the cost of the kit.

And to try and put it another way it would offer an easier solution to properly tuning the A/F ratio than most current possibilities.
It's all about balance.
