I am not saying that you can't get $2K for it, I'm just saying that I'm not willing to buy a car that needs an engine for that much. After new motor install I'd be looking at $3,500+, and lately I've seen quite a few SVTs in the $3,500-$4,200 range. So if I want the SVT look I'd have to add around $1K for a painted kit plus other cost, (gauges, exhaust, leather) so in the long run I'd be better off to spend a little more on an SVT. From my point of view I couldn't see spending more than $800-$1,000 dollars on a car with a bad engine considering the body is still almost 10 years old.
