 Does anyone know of any SVT's or pre98 se for sale in our region that aren't $5k+. I just have no fun in my zetec/auto contour so it's time to find another one that is better equipped. Either that or find a replacement. Other cars in the running are VW jetta, mitsu galant, and possibly an audi a4 if I can find one cheap enough. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

get a 4cyl galant and do the turbo set-up. They are running 13's. Go here for more info. I have the V6 version and in a couple days you can come out and watch me smoke a supercharged contour.

My limit for contours is $5K, with an A4 I would go to $7K. That shouldn't be a problem cuz I've seen 3 of them on ebay for that cheap at buy it now prices, they are just too far. So that option is there but obviously I would prefer keeping my purchase price down.

hmmmm.... I have a '95 tour v6 mtx with svt kit on it! lotsa miles but for 5,000 it is for sale! j/k - the silver 98 svt in town here is for sale, they just don't have signs in it. The people who own it live in the shoe factory apartments on spring st. They said to let anyone know about it that were interested. 60,000 on the motor 90,000 on the car - motor was replaced at ford factory dealership and they have all the paperwork on it. If you leave a note on the car with your # I am sure they will call you.

That silver SVT is the same car that I got my EO wheels off of. Do you know how much they are looking to get for it? I am assuming that is Jons car right? I'm not quite sure about silver though, it seems as if everyone and their mama has that color.

I never said I would smoke you.....if my car hits a 15.9 I am done! 
Now.....the Grand AM, would smoke you.  Don't know with the turbo though.....we'll have to see.

Actually it is his woman's car... U know Jonny Holland? hmmm, wierd. I thinks I remember hearing $8,000 about a year ago, but now the car needs a little TLC - paint, skirt remounting, exhaust work, cleaning, etc.... it is a little rough looking in some spots but nothing major that I know of - If you were serious about the $5,000 I would just put the note on the car, like I said, and see if it sparks something for them, u just never know. I also understand about getting a silver SVT  a bit too common. Good Luck

I have a 96 se body is in good shape it needs a motor i will let it go for $2,000 The best deal on a motor i found was 74000 miles installed all together for 1500 just a thought.
