Hey guys...its getting a little heated on some threads...and I'm sure I have contributed to the heat. But I just want to say something. Around here, big university with "plenty-o-liberals" I have had alot of..discussions. (well really about 2-5 on one = yours truley). But I must say, despite a very high level of academic achievement around here (abide mostly in non related areas) I find the quality of discussion better HERE. A car forum of all places! I have been hanging out here far to much..but I have learned ALOT from you. Some of the best OPPOSING arguments I have encountered, some of the best of conservative viewpoints. Much has been incorporated into my perspective. I have even shifted slightly to the left on some things, to the right on others. But, I feel better informed. And I have great respect for most of you...you believe sincerly in your positions and defend them WELL. And that gives me FAITH in our country and our citizens...No matter what happens on election day, I think we will be OK because we are Americans. Egocentric, oppinionated, sure..but good human beings who want basically the same thing for all but just disagree on how to get their. And that is fine..

I tire of this election, I will be glad now when it is over. But in case I forget..thanks for some great dialog..

Dan

Same here. I just want it to get over with so I can get on with my normal doings. I'm just getting exhausted at the effort needed to stay focused this time around. 2000 was pretty intense, but nothing like this year. I think I'll be sleeping all day November 3rd, regardless of the outcome.

I agree, there's a lot to learn here on the boards. Despite different view points, I like seeing the respect fly around (wish it happened a little more ). Here here to this car forum.

You're correct.

The same points are only now coming up in our local paper's letters to the editors that were vigorously raised and argued on this board months ago. To now be hearing the same things mentioned now through other media naturally leads to feeling like the campaigns were replowing the same fields rather than introducing new topics into the discussion to keep our interests keen.

Watching the polls in state by state races for electoral votes is where it's at now.

Here's hoping everyone has taken time to figure out their state and local races and ballot measures too. The mix of the next House of Representatives and Senate is at issue.

Whatever positions you hold, for whatever candidates, if you are registered, GO VOTE.

And Dan, thanks for being a gentleman here.
