Yea, they don't have graphics cards, thanks for stating what i said. They cost extra. and thats only if you get one with an AGP slot! as their lower end systems usually dont have one!
All of Dell's desktops have AGP slots or at least free PCI slots for the rare PCI video card. They have for some time now.

White Label is also used as an expression for cheaper hard drives, not worth a crap. Maxtor is good, they moved away with it. I never said they have never used a decent hard drive. the one thats in my sisters is a hatchi. in my words white label=[censored] hard drive.
Umm.. I don't understand. Are you saying Hitachi is crap? Because a lot of people would disagree with you since they make some of the most reliable, largest, and fastest desktop HDs in the industry.

not true, my sisters is 60gb, and her drive is 5400 rpm. Wanna explain that one. I recently fixed a 2.4 GHz system, that had a 5400 rpm drive in it. I remember the conversation with my dad when we both saw it labeled 5400 on it.
Well, nothing they offer now is 5400RPM. And a search for any record of a 60GB Dell 5400RPM HD ever used on one of their desktops has turned up nothing. I could be wrong, but if they ever did it certainly wasn't for very long.

According to an employee who works at Dell, incharge of oversea's production. Are you confused? I think you are. Dell has warehouse in the US that ship from those locations, because it would cost to much to ship a computer in a week from some other country. This way they take their time sending them and cheap prices, to the customer, then at a warehouse they ship them out. I am sure they still do have some production plants in the US. but wierd how India has several properties under Dell's name that are production plants for Dell computers. They install different versions of XP on them depending on the country, and then pick the keyboard/mouse in whatever country they are in and thats how they ship. All straight from a Dell employee who makes $100,000+.
I'm sorry, you seem to be the one that's confused.
I did considerable work engineering Dell logistics system when I worked for i2. I know precisely where their items are coming from, where they're assembled, and where they go, probably better than most executives at Dell do. All North American-bound PCs are built in Austin and Nashville. All their parts come from nearby warehouses; very nearby, as Dell only keeps 6 hours of inventory in a production facility at once and it must be constantly replenished. That's Dell's entire philosophy and why their logistics system is the envy of the business world; and why having Dell on my resume has gotten me some lucrative consulting work in the past.
The "weird" thing is that Dell doesn't even have a production facility in India. So much for your 'insider info'. Dell production for the Pan-Asian region is out of China and Malaysia. And yes, the PCs produced there will have multiple languages put on them because there's so many different languages spoken there. PCs produced in Austin and Nashville have software in French and Spanish on them if they're bound for Canada or Mexico. PCs produced at their Ireland facility will have dozens of possible languages used on them because they go all over Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
