The battery died in my Contour and I need to replace it. I'm looking at the Optima Yellow Top since I've got an alarm, sound system, etc. and will need more pull than just on startup. Is this a good bet and where can I find one? Thanks in advance.
My diehard does fine with a system, alarm, etc. Only if you have a BIG system do you have to start thinking about upgrading your battery (would be better off upgrading wiring). Search/Ask in the audio forums. They're available at most part stores.

I would definitely go with the yellow top if you can swing it. My alarm drained the heck out of my battery and the yellow can handle it with out a problem. You are going to need to look into installation issues as I dont believe the yellow fits in the engine bay with the way the post setup comes. You may be able to remove the lower section of the battery tray to gain some clearance or you could do what I did and relocate it to the trunk. Let me know if you find a way to mount it into he engine bay as I am looking into getting another for my and would rather not relocate it again.

IMO, Optimas are not the cure all. Get a battery with the most CCAs, and reserve power as you can afford that will fit in the factory tray and you will be fine, probably with more money in your pocket.
