Please don;t miss understand me, im not saying to stop the LEGAL immigration of forigeners, but the ILLEGAL immigration.
And somehting needs to be done about that....i am all for, and support the legal immigrants.

I'm sorry, but, if you have it so badly, come over the RIGHT way. Get your life in order and follow the proper channels. Takes too long? Life sucks, get a helmet.
But if anyone thinks for an instant that they're going to come here to a soft, happy, easy life, get fat off of the hard work of the LEGAL citizens of this country, you've got another thing coming, and I'm NOT going to feel bad when you try to drag your family over here illegally and they wind up killing themselves.

i have met and seen many illegal immigrants, moreso than many people in this forum (since i live in a state heavily populated by them). Out of the THOUSANDS of illegal immigrants I have seen i would not go so far as to say that they have it "easier". regardless of legality, most day laborers (and other illegal workers) work much harder than you ever have or will.
i dont know what your ancestors did when they got here but i dont think it could have been tougher than picking strawberries in 100 degree heat all day for pennies.
this reminds me of a hispanic comedian i saw on HBO talking about Gov Pete Wilson's plans to oust all the illegals. He said then white people would have to work in the fields. He said "I would buy a field just to watch my white employee complain about how hot it is and how much their fingers and backs hurt. Then my maid Linda will come and ask me if I want more lemonade."--in other words, illegals are more than willing to do the jobs that nobody else wants to do. If it was impossible to hire them, through strict legislation and consequences, then they would have much less reason to want to come here. Of course, then our economy would be in turmoil.

truth is, a lot of Mexicans would prefer to live in Mexico but there isnt much work available. i applaud there hard work effort and determination. i also applaud the fact that they were willing to travel all the way over here (many by foot) to do menial work as opposed to working in the Narco trade, which many Mexicans (and Americans) do. now THATS taking the easy life!

Don't claim a damn thing about a person you know NOTHING about. You have no idea how hard I work every day. Is it physical labor? No, but that does NOT change how hard I work.

Picking strawberries? In 100 degree heat? Boo f'ing hoo. Try steel mills for the most part. 100+ degree heat INDOORS for next to nothing. Add a nice case of black lung in there on occasion too.
Don't even try to pull the "feel sorry for them" card when you have no comparison. My ancestors (and I'm talking 4 or 5 generations back) never asked for anybody's sympathy. They knew what they were getting thsemselves into.
And I've met my fair share of illegal immigrants. I lived in Somerville, MA, which for decades was the single most densley populated city IN THE WORLD. Full of illegal immigrants. And the VAST majority of the ones I knew would do their damndest to rip people off, blatantly steal from them if they could, and soak as much out of welfare as they could. Sorry, I hold NO sympathy for it.
