Not all arabs are terrorists. And you'd be surprised at the amount of terrorism being supported by some Mexicans here and in Mexico. One of the shows like dateline or 20/20 did a thing on it; bunch of terrorist activity goes through Mexico/Mexicans.

Obviously, no one deserved to die - especially the 2 innocent victims.
17 undocumented immigrants in one truck - the most likely scenario is that the driver of the truck was doing it for money.
It's not like the other 16 were on a joyride - they had no choice in the matter and IMO, no culpability whatsoever for what happened.
The question I'd be asking right now if I was a family member of the 2 victims is ... why did the Police let the situation get to the point where an overloaded truck was going 90 mph - isn't a serious collision the only likely outcome? And how can you justify that, given the nature of the crime?

If we're to continue restricting immigration, why don't we go after the employers who use illegal immigrants for their cheap labor? Ah, maybe because our ECONOMY IS DEPENDING ON THEM! They may be sending a good chunk of their money to their families, but they're still contributing to the economy here: First by being employed (as apple pickers and similar menial jobs that few U.S. citizens want), and also by buying food/necessities and perhaps very minor luxuries, even a used car if they can afford it and are sticking around for a while. I'm against the current half-assed way of handing the situation, which looks to only get worse: Treating undocumented immigrants as sort-of-legal, sort-of-not-legal. Don't issue drivers' licenses to illegal aliens, just cut the bulls*** and open the border. --T.J., for fiscal conservatism and social liberalism

Thanks to the lefties, it's illegal to "profile" arabs.

Then what is the point in being an American? What do we get other then [censored] tax and a system that doesn't give it back. I am mostly talking about services that we pay for that we might never use like Social Security. Why don't I just give up my American citizenship so I can become a EU member. It would make getting a job here A LOT easier and I could still come back and get a job. Yes, that is the solution, instead of dealing with the problem in a meaningful way just make the illigal activity legal.

Mind providing some type of argument, or are you going to just going to mouth off in the corner?

My problem with illegal imigrants is that they don't pay taxes yet take from our society and to many come here to rip off and abuse what we have available.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

You sure can tell who lives along the border and who lives a comfortable buffer zone away.

Bingo! They wouldn't risk what they do if they didn't have a job to go to. It's like the so-called drug problem - reduce the demand and the supply will automatically dry up.

Don't dismiss a "half-assed" approach out of hand - there are a lot of countries that allow itinerant labor into the country for short periods - usually associated with a picking season, for example.
They're legal, they pay taxes, the employer gets his crop picked (or whatever), the worker sends money home and then happily goes home when he's done because he know's there's no risk to crossing the border.
Do this and the INS and other agencies tasked with making the border safer will free up much needed funds - you don't need high-priced security people chasing some poor schlub looking to put food on the table.
