I have to take the slightly liberal POV on this issue. I agree, illegals do not put their money BACK into the economy, but I also think they help in so many other ways. They work harder than most of us ever would, ESPECIALLY for the pay/treatment/living conditions they are under, they do the jobs we would never want to do, nor would accept to do. They also keep a competitive capitalistic market in the jobs they work in, as employers can get away with paying them ridiculously low, driving down our consumer prices. One other thing, how are they supposed to put money BACK into the economy when they are making 1.00 an hour? Most of their money goes into just keeping themselves alive during the harvesting seasons, and the rest goes to their families back home.
I do agree that this particular immigrant did something HORRIBLE and I can begin to share Hitman's feelings, but you also have to realize how dependent we are on upon the illegal's, and they on us.
