I'm all for shutting down the lazy noobs who won't search, but it's the guy's first post and he dosent seem to have a clue.  Who posts "NEW MEMBER 99 SVT" in the 3.0L forum anyways?

First post, in the 3.0L forum. I wonder if there is any other 3.0L information in the 3.0L forum? I think a safe assumption is, if there is a 3.0L Forum on a Contour website, that (I'm going out here on a limb) someone has put a 3.0L in a contour, thus I can find information on that in that forum1 Originally posted by akrump47:

I didnt know about hyping up the svt contours. I have a 92 mustang and Im building a engine for. I can get a 24 valve duratech engine. For 1000 bucks. I would like to know the horsepower rating on the taurus 3.0L duratech engine.
My car came with koni coilover and borla exhaust and a short shifter.

$1000 is too much. You can get a brand spankin new shortblock through Ford for ~$560. Taurus 3.0L is rated a 200 crank hp. If you can find yourself a 3.0L with the ovalport heads, id go that route. That seems to yield the best gains when mated with an port matched svt uim.
