You're really in no danger of getting caught with it...if the camera can't see the numbers on the plate, then they can't identify the vehicle or the person driving it. I almost rear ended someone last winter because of those damn things. I was driving my Civic without ABS. The light turned yellow and the guy in front of me slammed on his brakes. There would have been plenty of time for both of us to pass through the yellow light. But he stopped and I couldn't, my tires locked up and if I didn't understand the concept of ebraking and power sliding I would have hit him dead on at 40mph. When I spun to a stop next to him he rolled down his window and said "sorry man, I diddn't want to get caught by the camera".
