my point was that i have never SEEN a maxima do better times, i know its possible but i didnt find any evidence of a stock 96 doing better when i google'd it. nad i posted the average times fro a good driver and teh time that i know for a fact others have hit others have hit. If i had found a spot mentioning a stock maxi hitting 15flat i would have posted it, but i didnt

There is a difference between feeding trolls (like what EVERYONE ELSE is doing!) and what I did.
Most folks are indiscriminately bashing Maximas which is downright short sighted. The Maxima is an excellent car and well beyond most of the examples posted.
I understand wanting to slam the dumb troll but that's exactly his objective. For all we know he drives a POS Honduh and wants us to hate on Maximas. Maybe go to their board and start useless crap.
Either way the bashing of Maximas is outright stupid since it's one of the cars that is closest in direct comparison to what we drive. One heck of a good FWD 4-door with an available manual & excellent engine.
very well put...the 95-99 maxima was imo the best years of the maxima.....we just sold my wife's 95(auto unfortunately) with 180k on the odometer, and the car still ran like new...that is a great engine in that car....it had good power, even for an auto, although it didn't have much of a kick when accelerating from speed(i.e. passing in 3rd gear)but overall very good power and reliability

Jim, this would be a good time for you to post a video of Harold's Maxima taking down the 03 Cobra
Or maybe a vid(if you have one) of him running a LOW 12 second pass
Or better yet, his dyno graph at 580+FWHP and 600+FWTQ

Well smartass, nowhere did I see in the rulebook that a guy that sets his car up for roadcourses/streetracing/scca couldn't take their car to a 1/4 mile track for fun? My car wasn't built for 1/4 mile but it's what I enjoy. I'd say low 12's and 580whp out of a FWD(it's called front wheel drive) car is pretty impressive, especially considering it's a stock motor.

may i just add that harolds maxima is on a STOCK motor, stock internals, stock transmission, stock suspension, stock axles...basically stock everything besides the turbo kit and an upgraded clutch and injectors. I helped him tune it last week on his emanage with a rich low 11ish:1 air/fuel mix. And it still holds up on 6 grand clutch dumps on slicks. He ran it at the track last week and only got in 3 runs, but his best run was a 12.2 @ 123.
PS. Btw, its 538 whp, 603 wtq. Scott mistold me. But still impressive nevertheless.
