Im not sure, but if the Weapon R is the one that goes down to the air dam, theres more problems with it sucking in water... Heatsoak is not a problem with the kkm once you start moving a bit. I have the KKM and I would recomend it cause if i remember correctly, the Weapon R is like $200, compared to the KKM's $90 price tag. If your still worried about heatsoak, you can buy a heatshield for like $60, or make your own real cheap, its easy! Hope I helped a bit; Peace...
