Hey guys, what's up. Just recently as some of you may/may not know, I had a rod bearing go in my old engine, which bent the rod yada yada. Well, I have a new engine in, but, upon teardown of the '99 SVT engine, I noticed that 2 of the valves above the piston where the problem was, exhaust side, hit the piston and broke. All the other 22 valves are perfect and the 2 that broke didn't damage the head at all... clean break. So, the question is... is there somewhere where you can get valves? Or what would be the best way to fix the 2 valves? Comments, links, prices all welcome. Thanks for your time.

You can easily buy two new valves from ford and install them. If there is any damage to the valve seat you'll need them re-cut. If not, and I suspect the seats will be fine, then just spend the $30 bucks for them from Ford and have them installed. You should be good then.

That's cool, I appreciate the advice. I hate to be a noob... but, I'm quite mechanicaly inclined, just have never taken a valve/spring etc apart... any tips/tricks I should know from the expert?! Thanks!

Yes.

Removing the valve springs on these heads is a severe PITA without the proper tool.

Spring Compressor? Is it the same process as on my solid lifter 289? Sans removing the overhead cam?

NOT even remotely close!!!

The problem is there is no room to easily get at the valve spring.

There are spring compressors for DOHC engines. They are more involved and more expensive, but they still work on basically the same principles.

Where would one source a tool like this? Autozone? Advance Auto?

Tool dealers (Snap-on, Matco, MAC, Cornwell, etc.)

Auto parts stores.

On line tool dealers.

Dealer can order it through their Rotunda tool program, but it isn't easy and is usually more expensive than going through a too dealer.
