Good for you, Pat. I know it's easy to focus on the negatives, so I'm glad you slipped a positive in here, too.

Anytime some dumbass starts mouthing off about how Wal-Mart offers no benefits to it's employees I just whip out my medical insurance coverage card.

They're the largest employer in NM (and the country?), so they damn well better offer benefits!

Regardless of methods of delivery, funding, access issues, overall cost, for profit - not for profit .... any debate about how best to provide healthcare IMO begins with the the answer to one fundamental question that defines a nation's values:
Is basic healthcare a right of citizenship like the right to vote (you're a citizen, you get it) or is it not?
Until there is a national consensus on that question, the other issues become very difficult to reconcile and the debate can be very tangled - again, IMO.
So, who thinks it's a right, and who thinks it isn't?

I see nothing clear about that statement in regards to nationally-funded healthcare. I could equally argue both point of views from that statement, though personally I don't believe in nationally-funded healthcare.

Right to Life.........
No basic healthcare, and people die from things that are easily preventable. Which is more expensive, national healthcare that everyone is responsible for, or 100% privatized health care that encourages those without to wait until they are very sick and thus cost much more to treat, and lays those costs on others who have the ability to pay?

Why does 100% privatized health care necessarily have to "encourage those without to wait until they are very sick"?
I assume you mean the cost, but privatized basic health care can be provided at little to no cost. There are thousands of free clinics around the nation that provide these services and don't charge a dime. Give me back the huge portion of taxes that goes to healthcare and let me give it to organizations as I see fit that can provide higher levels of service and much lower costs.
The Declaration of Independence doesn't decree that the government will provide "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" -- just that the goverment won't inhibit those inalienable God-given rights. Note that our Founding Fathers didn't put into national healthcare plan into place even in a time when common illnesses were much more likely to be fatal than they are today. We got through almost 200 years without paying any sort of federal taxes for government-supported healthcare because we took care of our own.

To me there is something wrong if you are guranteed a college education (for free or quite cheap if you are poor) but you can't afford health insurance.
