now all you need is a haltech, then you can plug your computer into it, and actually change things smile That's some cool stuff...

BTW, fo anyone that doesn;t have an OBD2 scanner...get one, now...

EXACTLY!!!

I could not get any better results on my P166 laptop with 80megs than on my PIII-600 (733) with 320megs do to the limited serial port speed...

...and that's even with changing the response and access time of the software itself to nearly double it's normal speed!

It's great, but you can't poll more than about 6 things at once and get detailed enough results. (I normally choose 4 - RPM, Load and 2 others "ADV, MAF, O2's, etc")
No biggie IMO. Just more fun time behind the wheel!!! laugh

ANd is there a way to reset the computer from the OBD program?

The only writing that you can do is to reset the CEL and the on board tests. I'm not really sure if this is the same as pulling your fuses and erasing the Keep Alive Memory or not. Other than that, this is a read only tool (but not bad for $73). I do need to rob a bank and get the $2k for the Haltech (yeah, I stole that line, but it is true).

It's an entirely new ECU for the car... pricey stuff. http://www.haltech.com/
