for summer performace, if your ballin on a budget the Yokohama AVS ES100's are the way to go 225-45-16 for stock svt rims. don't you know they stick like glue and save you some dough about $100 a tire. their not so great in the rain.

I have the unique situation where I have one Toyo 4 tire and three Sumitomo HTRZs. I blew one tire and replaced it with the Toyo. I also used to have Yoko ES100s, so I can compare all three. To me the Toyo is a little noisier than the other two, traction in the dry is similar, but wet traction is noticably better and they seem to turn in quicker than both the others. The max tire pressure is 51psi which is significantly higher, but I have no idea what effect that would have.

No. I haven't been on anything similarly priced that is comparable in performance. My two favorite tires are the Proxes4's (on my g/f's Cobra which we use on track, Mid-O, VIR, etc) and Toyo T1-S's on my Cobra (and soon to be on the 'tour, too). Toyo went away from the T1-S's to the Proxes4 design to make it more all season friendly.
They roxor. Check out Edgeracing from some good prices. But don't clean them out - I need new tires!

Im going with the toyo proxe 4's. I wanted something for aggresive street driving, both on dry & wet roads. Them being all-season tires will give me what I want. I just got michelin X-Ice tires so I wont be using them for winter.

Now I have to figure out what plus size I want, 16" or 17". What do you think. Im planning on getting new wheels and wanted somewhat a light weight wheel, about 16lb and under that cost less than $175. I know at that price I wount find any but who knows. Those Enkei DM5 look nice but I dont know the weight on them. Any guess?

I would recommend the 17" Konig Traffiks that are on sale at tires.com for $95 each, and weigh 16 lbs each, but I don't want you biting my style....
