I purchased one on ebay that is 98% identical of the Cougar shift knob but its a Focus 2003 ZX3 shift knob. Excepts its rubber vinyl instead of leather. Cost anywhere from $1 to $14 comparing $50+ from Cougar! It has the reverse lock as well. Works and looks awesome!

Check out www.teamvoodoo.com and also, the ones on the Cougars fit, those are pretty nice. If you were to get a B&M short throw, it comes with a different shift knob as well. I have the VooDoo knob on my ride and have it powder coated white to match the gauges, its very nice IMO

Another vote for the Cougar shift knob...looks nice, looks factory, leather, and retains the reverse lockout.

Best $15 I spent on the car.

Does it look/feel like leather? Would you deem it a suitable replacement for a SVT knob?

I liked it when I first got it, the leather turned smooth then but I'm not bothered, just wanna upgrade to the B&M short shifter and that alluminum knowb

The B&M knob is one of the worst ones. Oddly shaped, the top insert is a bit sharply cut, hot in summer and freezing in winter (like any metal knob). I gave mine away.

The billet reverse lockout from the B&M goes pretty nicely with the Cougar knob though.
