As much money and work that is takes to make a zetec move fast I think joelio had that best idea yet to move up to an svt.

a CTA motorsports Air intake is only 140$, and its pretty easy to install yourself. Im looking into getting one of those.

The problem I'd have is paying someone to put the parts on. I can't just put an SVT exhaust system on without doing headers as well, otherwise it's a bottleneck. Replacing all of that with Focus and SVT parts will cost big money around here where I live. And that would probably give the most gains first. Then I'd need to get the intake paid for and could put that in myself. Then I'd need to get a superchip and up my gas two grade levels, costing even more money. Then I'd have to tell the wife I've not gone crazy riding around in my poor mans ricer.

so then you get your race header for zxtuner and an svt exhaust from someone on CEG...would cost you maybe $500-$600 total.
